Eye Care Benefits
There has been an increase to the vision care maximum from $300 every 24 consecutive months to $500 every 24 consecutive months. This includes eyeglasses or contact lenses or laser eye surgery limited to the maximum benefit. (as quoted from Plan Amendment dated June 21, 2007). Eye exams are limited to a maximum benefit of $75 in any period of 24 consecutive months (not subject to the deductible).

Salary Scale
Salary increments effective July 1 are awarded on the basis of satisfactory evaluation. Employees will be advised by June 30th of their placement as of each July following.

Collective Agreement
SCFA members' working conditions are covered by two contracts. The (pdf document) Sectoral (or Common) Agreement is signed by most of the colleges in British Columbia. The Local Agreement (pdf document) is specifically for Selkirk College. The most recent contracts were signed in March of 2007, and will be in effect until March 31, 2010
